Will multibridge work with FCP7?
Posted by Matt Shires on August 26, 2009 at 9:18 amHey All,
Our studio is about to upgrade to FCP 7 and I wondered if out Multibridge Extreme 7.1.2 will have any problems with it, especially the new Prores 4:4:4 RGB codec?
Many Thanks, Matt

August 26, 2009 at 10:56 amOur Multibridge Pros have been keeping up with FCP7 for all the basics, there doesn’t seem to be any hiccoughs yet, but we’re not yet really using all the new ProRes flavors.

Does that mean we won’t be able to use the Prores 4444 codec with the black magic?

August 26, 2009 at 1:32 pmI haven’t tried that yet. I would think that you would, but it will be a while before I try the new flavors out.

September 1, 2009 at 10:39 pmHi Matt,
To use the new ProRes 4444 codec, you’ll need to wait for a driver update from us to support the new features in FCP7. This will allow your to output ProRes 4444 via Dual link HD-SDI as an RGB 444 HD signal to HDCAM-SR.
