Ok I have confirmed that repeatedly PLAYING my project sucks up hundreds of MB of ram that is NOT returned to the system!
Is anybody else noticing this? This is a PROBLEM!

Is there any particular reason why this happens? The fact that it is minimizing outside the vegas desktop suggest that they are all floating toolbars….any ideas?

Got it. Needed to put points on the composite opacity track not event, envelope.

I believe I know what the problem is, which I ran into, and it is very irritating. The swishing lines that you see are the sony text edit FX window minimizing UNDERNEATH the windows status bar. Try shrinking your windows status bar to a tiny line, and you should see a bit of it sticking there; try to grab it. If you CANNOT grab it, you will have to relocate your windows status bar to the left or right side of the screen and THEN you will be able to find and grab the minimized FX window. I went nuts just like you until I thought about what was happening. Why it happened I am not sure, but believe me, it’s under the windows status bar.

OK I figured that out, I can change the event opacity envelope, HOWEVER, how can I FX keyframe – automate this? So I can go in and out of opacity…. IS there an FX tool for this?

Hmmmmm. Thank you….what I am doing is experimenting with everything that Vegas gives you, check out all functionality. If something doesn’t work, the assumption is I am doing something wrong. It would just be good to know if I am using this tool incorrectly. Could you attempt to slip or slip trim a video and audio segment without losing sync? Can you confirm how to do this…or maybe it’s not doable. Because if it can’t be done, it means this tool is useless….
