Hi Jim.
You didn’t miss anything. This was a special case that never made it into the bug fix list.
It’s something we should mention in the Shadow Catcher section.
Let us know if you have more questions.

Hi Jim.
Is your plane rotated by 90 degrees in the X axis?
Rotate it -90 degrees instead. There’s a limitation with planes where the rotation direction matters.
Let us know if you’re still experiencing the problem.

April 28, 2010 at 6:27 pm in reply to: Can I use Zax files created with 32 bit machine in CS5 (64 bit machine)?Hi John.
Zaxwerks plug-ins are currently not compatible with CS5. We’re working on it.
For now, you can use Zaxwerks products in CS4 (or CS3 or CS2).

Hi Bruce.
Are you able to send me a sample project and a few steps to follow? I’d be happy to take a look.

February 5, 2010 at 1:06 am in reply to: 3D flag unable to complete the operation (*4) (4) (25::60) nothing fixes itHello Everyone.
After investigating this problem, we found that there was a memory conflict between our plug-in and After Effects.
For projects that use multiple Zaxwerks effects in a long Comp (say, 30 seconds or a minute), you may find
this conflict causing the render to quit, or an effect to crash. The workaround for this scenario is to render your Comp in segments (say, 10 seconds at a time) and stitching
the results togetherThis isn’t ideal, of course, but it’s a workaround. We’re working to make our plug-ins more compatible with
After Effects’ memory system.Let us know if you have any more questions.

Hi Roland.
Can you send me your project (no media files necessary). I’d be happy to take a look.
Also send a few steps that will tell me where to look for the problem. The solution could involve changing your shadow map size or light angle.
Thanks.
