    Hi Rune.

At this point, we don’t support Depth of Field.

You may be able to match the camera’s DOF with some clever blurring.

October 28, 2006 at 3:59 am in reply to: Stackwerks doesnt load.

    Hi Rock.

First issue: The current version of Stackwerks isn’t compiled for
    the Intel Macs.

Email me offline at matt@zaxwerks.com and I’ll send you an update.
Zaxwerks will release an official update soon.

For those experiencing a similar problem on PowerPC Macs:
The Stackwerks installer should put the Stackwerks FxPlug into:
    /Library/Plug-ins/FxPlug

Check that location. If the file isn’t there, you may either want
to copy the Stackwerks plug-in into that folder or try to install
    again.

If you’re still experiencing problems, let us know.

    Hi Richard.

Is there any chance you could post a screen shot of what you’re seeing.

Also, is there any way you can send me a version of your project so that I can take a look
at the artifacts? There may be a rendering bug.

    Thanks a lot.

    Hi Dave.

Please let us know more about what you were doing when AE crashes,
especially if you can repeat the crash.

Sometimes, we find that users do things in patterns that we haven’t considered,
and these actions can sometimes lead to crashes.

We do our best to quickly fix crashing bugs — and we would
get you a fixed version quickly once found.

    Thanks.

September 15, 2006 at 2:30 pm in reply to: 3d flag close up

    Hi s.

Jon is right. You can get close to the flag by either adding a 3D Camera layer or by using the built-in camera that the 3D Flag effect offers.

There is a chapter in the documentation called “How To Make Flags Look Large.” This will give you a few pointers on making your flag look grand. I should note that you can make your flag look huge without actually changing the physical size of the flag. The “large” effect somes from changing other parameters, like meshing and friction.

Good luck and let us know if you have any more questions.

August 9, 2006 at 4:11 pm in reply to: Jumbled Letters

    Hello Everyone.

Until a fix can be made to the software, a workaround is to do the following:
    – Double-click on the jumbled text
    – This will bring up the Text Editor (the text should look ok here)
    – Click OK to accept the text and close the Text Editor

The text should pop back into place.
