    Hi evangary.

You can use the Pose Scale controls to animate the Z scale of the object.

    Briefly:
    – Create the first Pose at time 0 seconds.
    – Create a second Pose at time 5 seconds.
    – Select the second Pose and open the Advanced Animation Controls.
    – Change the Local Scale *Z* value to something over 100 (try 300 or 500).
    – Play back the animation. You’ll see the scale animate over the Transition.

You’ll then want to edit the animation to your taste.

    Hi John.

Would it be possible to send me a screen shot of the problem?
I’m not quite sure what you mean by “lose the edges.”

You can send files to: matt@zaxwerks.com

March 7, 2007 at 4:03 pm in reply to: 3d Flag

    Hi Dario.

    Functionally, they’re almost the same.

The main difference is that Motion doesn’t have a 3D camera or 3D lights,
so you’ll have to use the ones supplied by the 3D Flag plug-in. The
3D Flag camera/lights should be sufficient for most of your needs.

If you have both Motion and AE then I’d say the choice comes down
to determining which package you’ll be using to integrate a flag into a scene.
If you do most of your work in After Effects, then the AE version is a good pick.
Otherwise, Motion should work for you.

Feel free to download the demo versions and see how you like them.

    Hi Jeff.

Can you tell me which version of the Invig you’re using?

Make sure you’re using the latest version: https://zaxwerks.com/download

If that doesn’t help, would you mind sending me your file
and telling me what to do in order to see the problem?
You can send the .aep file to: matt@zaxwerks.

February 22, 2007 at 4:10 pm in reply to: Can I Randomize With The Invigorator Plug-In?

    Hi Ben.

The Randomize functionality is part of ProAnimator and not a function in the Invigorator.

To do something similar in the Invigorator, you may be able to put each letter in its
own set and then animate each set. It’s not an ideal solution. ProAnimator is your best bet.

If you have your scene in the Invigorator and want to move it to ProAnimator, note that you
can save the scene while you’re in the Invigorator Set-Up window
(Cmd+S on the Mac, Ctrl+S on the PC). You can then load that saved file while in the
Set-Up window in ProAnimator (Cmd+O on the Mac, Ctrl+O on the PC).

February 20, 2007 at 5:33 pm in reply to: flag upgrade

    Hi Mark.

    A few things to check:
    – Make sure you downloaded the *After Effects* version of 3D Flag, correct. Version 1.0.2.
    – Then make sure you placed the “3D Flag – AE” folder inside of your After Effects 7.0 “Plug-ins” folder.
    – Finally, be sure that you’ve removed any previous versions of 3D Flag that may be inside of
    the After Effects Plug-ins folder.

If these above items look correct and it still doesn’t work, you can let us
know on the forum or email me privately and we can find out what’s not right.

    Email me at: matt@zaxwerks.com

    Thanks.

February 13, 2007 at 9:04 pm in reply to: Shadows & Highlights basic trouble

    Hello Arthur.

The Hi-Quality OpenGL renderer doesn’t currently support shadows, including the Shadowcatcher material style.

You should use the Invigorator Renderer when working with shadows.

February 8, 2007 at 5:49 pm in reply to: Issues with AE7.01 and PA

    Hi Richard.

Are any of your AE panels undocked?

We have a known bug where the PA interface
doesn’t work properly when AE has undocked panels.

NOTE: If you get into this situation, one thing you can
do is to Cmd+Tab to another application and then
Cmd+Tab back to AE — that will allow you to control/close
    the PA interface.

Let us know if you have any more questions.

    Hi Julian06.

My first suggestion would be to make sure you’re using the current version of the software.
    You can get it here:
    https://www.zaxwerks.com/download

If you’re running the current version and are still experiencing the problem,
you might want to send me the file (matt@zaxwerks.com). I’d be happy to take
    a look.

    Thanks.
