Hi sharonism.
What sort of depth do you want to create? A 3D globe? Or 3D bumpy detail on your map?
If you want to create a globe, 3D Layer Warp has a Warp type called Spherify. Apply this 100% to create a full sphere.
If you want bumpy detail on your layer, 3D Layer Warp has a Displacement Map feature. You can apply a depth map layer to your warped layer.
The white areas of a bump map are the high points. Black pixels are the low points. There are a variety of locations on the web where you can get good color, bump, specular, etc. maps for earth:

Hi Gareth.
I haven’t tried this technique, but you would probably want to use a motion tracker (AE Pro has a motion tracker)
in order to get a good track of your scene – or the location in your scene. Make an AE layer track properly
in your AE scene. Then you’d want to use Invigorator’s “Track 3D Layer function” to attach an Invigorator Set to that tracked layer.
This will put an Invigorator Set in the same location/orientation as a layer you define.Let use know if you have any more questions regarding this technique.

Hi inmania.
If you can send me your file (.aep file), I’d be happy to take a look.
Send files to: matt@zaxwerks.com
Let me know which version of AE you’re using, and at which
point the render fails.Thanks.

Hi Patrick.
You may need to delete your preferences and try again.
There are two locations where the prefs may exist:
1. In the same folder as your plug-in (inside the After Effects Plug-ins folder)
2. On the Mac, inside your local Preferences folder (~/Library/Preferences)Once you find the file, rename the preferences file to some other name.
The Invigorator Prefs file is called “Zaxwerks Invigorator Prefs”.
The ProAnimator Prefs file is called “Zaxwerks ProAnimator Prefs”.Once you’ve renamed the prefs file, try loading your scene again.
Let us know if you have more questions.

Hi fatmonichi.
The ProAnimator product has an Animation window. The Invigorator product does not.
As Jon said, animation in the Invigorator is done through the Effects Control Window (ECW).
You can find out more information on ProAnimator at the Zaxwerks web site:
https://www.zaxwerks.com/proanimatorYou can compare the different products here:

Hi Lou.
I take it the lights in your Comp have shadows turned on?
You may have found a bug.
Would you mind sending me your project file? Just the .aep file should be enough.
Send files to: matt@zaxwerks.com
I’d be happy to take a look.
Thanks.

Hi Steve.
Your file had some extra elements in it, causing the problem.
Note that when using the Invigorator, it’s not about how the AI file looks
on screen, it’s about making sure that the only things in the file are the
outlines that you want imported. This is certainly part of the learning curve.
(hey, that’s a pun!)Let me know if you have any more questions.

Hi Steve.
If you can send me the file, I’d be happy to take a look.
Some Illustrator files just need a little massaging before
being brought into the Invigorator. You can send the file to: matt@zaxwerks.com

Hi Lou.
Since you’d be upgrading for more than PA (especially in light of Motion),
it’s a good idea.PA OpenGL renders will benefit. And the next generation of Zaxwerks
code will benefit from a better card.So I say go for it!
