Hi Andrew.
Do you know if you’re using the Software Renderer or the GL Renderer?
Try switching which renderer you’re using and see if the problem still happens.
Let me know.

Hi Andrew.
Does the crash occur when you first apply the plug-in? Or when you open the Options dialog?
Would you be able to send me a project file (just the .aep file) and a few instruction to follow so that I can try to replicate the problem here?
Thanks.

Hi Graymachine.
I’m not quite sure I understand what is going wrong.
The ShadowCatcher material makes the object only render shadows it receives. It should be blank/empty except for the areas that include shadows.
I’d be happy to take a look at your project, if you’d like. You should only need to send me the .aep file (no media files). Please describe which Comp/Layer I should be looking at, although your picture helps a lot.

Hi John.
Invig 4.3.1 should be able to load the files you saved with v4.0.6. Would you mind sending me a few files that you *could* open with Invig 4.0.6?
Send files to: matt@zaxwerks.comAfter looking at your project, your file is indeed corrupt.
A few notes regarding corruption:
– AE’s Auto-Save files don’t work with Zaxwerks effects because our data needs to be converted to a save-able format before AE saves it. AE doesn’t seem to give us that chance before Auto-Saving.
– Zaxwerks is a big proponent of the “Increment & Save” feature of AE. We recommend you use it frequently. One way to start working with your file again:
1. Move your 3D Invigorator plug-in to another folder (the Desktop or your Documents folder).
2. Open your file in AE. AE will complain about the effect missing.
3. Find your Invig layers and delete the Invigorator effect. Do this for all Invig effects applied to your project.
4. Save your scene to a *new name* and close AE.
5. Reinstate your Invig plug-in, restart AE, and load your newly-saved scene.
6. Rebuild your Invig layers. This isn’t an ideal process since you lose the Invig effects, but at least you can continue to use the project, which may have a lot of other things in it.
Let us know if you have any more questions.

Hi Craig.
Thanks for the feedback.
3D Layer Warp and 3D Grid Warp use the same renderer as the Invigorator.
There are a lot of factors that can affect the speed of a render, including:
– The size of the 3D object/layer on screen
– Whether or not there is transparency
– Whether or not there are line or grid effectsMatt Rhodes

Hi Craig.
I’m sure you’re in good hands with John,
but I wouldn’t mind checking out the file
as well: matt@zaxwerks.com.Depending on how you’re using it, 3D Layer Warp
should be fairly fast. I’m curious to see
if you’re using Draft or Best quality for the warped layer. Also, I’m not sure how you’re turning off OpenGL and
what is bombing when it is on.Let’s get you up and running.

Hi Jose.
John is probably right, but if you’d like to send me your project
file (just the .aep), I’d be happy to see if I can recover part of the
file.If you happen to know what you were doing at the time, please
let us know. We’d love to squash any bugs. The best solution in the future is to use AE’s “Increment & Save” feature – frequently.

Thanks a lot.

Hi Matthew.
If you have a sample scene that you can send me, I’d be happy to take a look.
I realize that this is an intermittent problem, so you may be able to
tell me a series of steps to follow instead – even if the problem doesn’t happen
every time. There are times when a user does things in an order that we haven’t tried/tested,
and these users are able to show a previously-hidden bug.Send files to: matt@zaxwerks.com
Thanks.

Hi Matthew.
Make sure you’re using the current version of Invig PRO.
We’re currently at v4.3.
Let us know if this fixes your problems.

Hi Paul.
First confirm that you’re using the current version of PA (4.3).
You can get it here: https://zaxwerks.com/downloadIf you’re using the current version, would you mind sending me
your project file? I’d be happy to take a look.Send files to: matt@zaxwerks.com
