Will an internal SSD be faster/slower/same speed as an external SSD with a SATA adapter attached to computer via thunderbolt?

I heard there is a limit to how much space the cache will take up on the cache drive. For ex: it will only fill 10% of drive, so if using 1TB SSD, cache size will never go over 100GB. Is this true?

I have a 250 GB SSD and am shocked at how quickly it fills up with Media Cache using Premiere and After Effects.

Would it slow me down to use an external thunderbolt – SATA drive for Media Cache Disk?

I was able to use your method to find where the media lives. Thanks.

I relinked one by one…In all video programs I’ve ever worked with they’re able to reconnect all the files in the folder without me selecting everyone one by one. Why not incorporate that into audition?

Turns out one of the files relinked is not the right one. How can I make that clip offline? How to reconnect the one clip to the proper file? (Again this is as simple as right clicking in most other apps.)

Thanks for the link.

That is a HUGE problem. Everybody I know animates to audio. Hope it gets fixed soon. No AE CC user should be paying their monthly fee as long as this is still an issue.
