If the stil image is what you are hoping to use as the sensor then you need to place your video in track 1, move your time indicator to the first frame you want the image to appear. Now place the stil image in track 2. Scale the image to the desired size. Then key frame the motion of the image to match the video.

Thanks heaps for your ideas, I will try that today. Just to clariry a couple of things:

Which setting do you keyframe to make the road move without it sliding off the bottom of the screen?

In your example clip it appears like the back wall of the tire is moving too, it looks great, I was wondering how you achieved this? Possibly the same as the road?

I greatly appreciate the time time you have taken to explain and demonstrate this.

You can copy gain setting in the effects panel:
-set desired gain on one clip
-right click on volume in the effect panel, copy
-select other clips and right click on volume in the effect panel, paste

Disadvantage of this is you still have to do it one by one. You could just put all the audio clips in the same track and adjust the track gain.

When you say spills out on you exported video do you mean there is more of the picture showing than you had in the project window?
