Audio gain for multiple clips

You can copy gain setting in the effects panel:
-set desired gain on one clip
-right click on volume in the effect panel, copy
-select other clips and right click on volume in the effect panel, paste

Disadvantage of this is you still have to do it one by one. You could just put all the audio clips in the same track and adjust the track gain.

Or Alternatively you can use the marque tool to select all the audio clips you want to adjust the gain on.

then right click on one of them and select Audio Gain
set the level, hit ok and all your clips will have the same gain settings applied to them.

this is a blanket operation though, if one clip out of 10 already has 4db on it and you set the new level of the 10 clips to 8db, your 4db clip will also go to 8db

kinda annoying, but thats the way it works

I have a lot of different clips in a sequence. Some loud, some less.
I want to ajust the audio on all clips so the audio output of the sequence is the same. In other words, the audio of the sequence stays green and not yellow or red.

How can I do that?

Either of the two methods explained above will work for adjusting gain(volume) on multiple clips. If your clips haves varying levels of recorded audio you will need to adjust the clips gain individually.

Alternatively you could have several tracks of audio, each track with clips of similar volume. Then adjust each track volume accordingly.
