  • Exporting from Premiere shows video outside the project space…

When I export a video I’m working on in Premiere CS3, and that video has data outside the dimensions of the preview window – the extra video spills out onto the final exported file.

Does that make sense? Like if I’m working with a picture that’s larger than what I see in the project space, I have to crop the pic so it doesn’t show up in the exported file.

Is there a way to make sure the video doesn’t spill outside of the project size?

    Thanks!

When you say spills out on you exported video do you mean there is more of the picture showing than you had in the project window?

Make sure that your project window is zoomed out to show the whole frame. If you want send me a example frame and i’ll see if o can give you any more ideas, mj555666777@yahoo.co.nz

I sent you an email – still couldn’t figure it out. My videos look great in the Premiere project, but when exported, there’s a bunch of video data outside that throws off my YouTube upload centering! Arr

    hey,
I have looked at your screen shot and it has baffled me also. When exported nothing should be showing out side the project area. The two things I would try.
1)because no one else has offered any thoughts I would definently post your problem on the adobe forum:

    https://www.adobe.com/support/forums/

I have had many a problem solved there.

2)use the crop effect to cut the top and bottom of the image off within premiere. this may solve the issue but it would be nice to know what the real reason is.

Sorry I am unable to help more. If you get a chance I would like to know if you do solve this problem and how.
