    yes your right.
You would have to duplicate the main timeline for that to work, so that one version was normal and one with chapter actions to the deleted scenes, but this also doubles up the space.
i think to get what you want to achieve is beyond encore.

    Thank Jeff,
Yes they are elementary streams, I agree I never use programme streams for the same reason.
When you mean match audio, are you talking bit-rates?

    Sorted it.
For reference, in the relative section i put in the tapes start time and it puts it at the start of the timeline.
( I am sure I had tried that already)

If its not to complicated, i would open a brand new project and rebuild it. I have had projects that have good bad!! and the only way to fix them was to rebuild them.

I would say yes it is pretty much the same, in fact i have closed a CS3 version and opened them up in 2.0 and there was no problems. the interface is basically the same, the way you work is the same. the only thing i noticed was at the begining you either go the standard dvd route or Blue ray route.
I’m sure there are differences but i expect they are just bells and whistles. I have built a few films in CS3 and don’t feel i have changed my way of working.

    Cheers Baz

Check those and PARA RUN was disabled and RS422 is in ‘IN’.
    any other thoughts?

I can control the deck when i am in Blackmagics own controller prog but it still says ‘no comms’even tho i can shuttle the deck.
I am now thinking it is a card issue, even though it should be a standard 422 remote!!!

I have the digi and J-H3 hooked up to old and new ( mac and PC) Avids and DVD encoder all day and they work fine, I had gone through the menu settings on the deck and cant see what i would have to change.
DVW-500 is an industry work horse, so i was suprised when i did not work. The J-H3 is a newer model and works fine!! i can usually problem solve most issues but this ones odd.
