Please. You are being highly disingenuous .
That is, as you mentioned, a grab from the now defunct Rel-Stream modification to the DVX-100, which has absolutely NO bearing on this discussion at all.
The HVX at DVCProHD and DV50 has exactly the same color space as a Digital Betacam camera: 4:2:2
I any many other have pulled fantastic keys shooting on properly lit green screens.
However, I think you may be asking for too much from a 1/3″ chip camera.

I agree, HDs are NOT long term archiving solutions, they WILL fail.Anyone who relies on them for anything other than a MID-TERM solution will eventually get bit.
I’m going to spring for the Quantum DLT-600a, since it has Gig-E and is MXF aware.

I have the Tascam HD-P2. it also records onto CFII cards and has a 1394 port for downloading files. Great piece of audio kit.

Very cool…was it shot primarily with the HVX or HPX?
Did they require you to layoff everything to DVCPro tape and then ingest for EDL purposes?

Not true.
Native frame rates cannot get RECORDED over firewire, but ANYTHING you record to P2 can then be transfered to your computer later by firewire.

IMO, the CAC lenses are a huge compromise packaged with the camera in order to allow people to buy a complete camera system at a resonable price.
If you are serious about buying this camera, as other have said, do yourself a favor and get a quality lens, which in this case, starts at about twice of the price of the camera head itself.
The difference is easily noticeable.

Try a screen capture utility like camtasia, then export a QT to your FCPro timeline.
