Thanks for your input Walter, but I have no idea how to do what you proposed. Do you have specific examples/instructions to create controls for dividers? How would you do that? Also, the expression tip seems too complex for my level of coding. Again, if you have an example of what you mean, I would really appreciate some elaboration.

I’ve ended up stripping what’s needed into a new precomp which solved the issue. However, next time I’ll definitely consider your Distort-Transform trick!

That’s one cool script, will have to check it out, thanks! After reading up on it, my reservations were confirmed that it can’t sync the same project file between multiple artists. It can sync/combine multiple projects (that are unique) into one master comp.

In the meantime, we’ve halted our current setup and identified clear boundaries of what each person is doing. Yes, it’s hell and a few days away from the deadline, of course lol

Great, that makes total sense. However, being a mostly-timeline AE user, writing expressions from scratch doesn’t come easy for me 😉

Would you be able to point me to an existing/similar situation on these forums? I’d love to look at the code and customize it for my project.

Yes I can do the Background way, but if I have geometry in front of it, it gets blocked. I need to have this projection visible at all times, regardless of what’s in front of the camera. Does that make sense?
