If the color board does it correctly, wouldn’t this be a bug? It being completely new in 10.4?

It’s one of the things I hate about subscription. They can change the terms at any time.

I think FCP 7 was the first to support RED RAW, with the whole Proxies that the REDOne made IN-camera or something. I remember it being something like that. It made Quicktime-Wavelot proxies in small and medium sizes in camera and if you opened up the R3D, it was in the same folder as the shot. And then Color could connect to the RAW. Or something, it’s from 2008 so it’s far and I only started working with R3D actively when FCPX supported it.
But this seems very curious. Apple put something on their website a while ago, a vacancy for someone in L.A. to work on pro workflows for their new Mac Pro Hardware, and Jarred Land says that they had to give Apple this to ‘get’ Pro Hardware from apple. Something like that. Vague, but very promising, in my opinion. I like both companies and RED has been very outspoken about Apple abandoning the Pro market a bit. If they sound very positive about new moves from Apple, I think it’s a good sign.
(Although I don’t doubt Apple’s commitment immediately, with FCPX 10.3, the iMac Pro, the new Mac Pro that they talked about, etc etc)https://mathieughekiere.wordpress.com

Craig I’m very interesting in hearing more, if there is more you can say.
I always refused to buy Color Finale because it didn’t seem to have masking and elaborate secondaries, like we used to have in Color, but Chromatic seems to have them. How are render speeds in general/quality/ … ?
It seems a very promising product. I have their SliceX and I’ve been generally happy with it.https://mathieughekiere.wordpress.com

According to Jarred Land on his Facebook it had nothing to do with Hydrogen, but everything with the new Mac Pro.
That just makes me more curious. We already know that Apple is searching for people in L.A. to check pro workflows for their new hardware.

I agree, Steve!
This WWDC gave me a complete different feeling then the previous Apple events. (in a very good way). iOS 11 looks great for iPad too.

Great, the bug that they speak of, about triming in a secondary storylines with a shortcut, let me crash FCPX last week *every* time.
Nice to see it’s fixed.https://mathieughekiere.wordpress.com

Be careful, apparently there is a serious bug in Premiere where if you delete some media cache or something (I don’t use Premiere myself), it also deletes media assets.
I read this in another forum and wanted people that use it here, warn for it…https://forums.adobe.com/message/9503050
