This approach should work. But you will have to animate masks. This can be accomplished a lot easier with a little help from Mocha AE. If you are not familiar with using it… it does have a bit of a learning curve, but is well worth it in the end.
On a side note… your work is amazing. Keep it up.

Max 2 AE plugin. Goes both directions. Worth its weight in gold. But wont export the mesh. Only cameras lights and solids.

I once removed crew members in reflections by making the door look like it was frosted glass and rotoing people as needed. This just blurs the reflections instead if changing them though. Worked in my situation. May not work for yours.

For the transparency information you could have them render you another pass as a luma matte in the form of a jpg sequence. Super small file size once zipped. Problem solved.

You can use a mask to isolate the area on a duplicate layer and then place it on top of your keyed clip.

I would use the “Warp Stabilizer” in after effects rather than Mocha in this case.

These kinds of questions are so shot specific. It not really something that can be answered well as a general statement.

The image you want to paste the corner pin data to needs to be the same size as your comp. so…
Place the image u want on the mirror in your comp, make it the same size as your comp (doesnt matter if it is stretched at this point). . I suggest that u then precomp that, and then paste the cornerpin data on the precomp.

Commenting on how to make your render faster is too complicated a thing without getting deep into your project. I will say this.
– Don’t render to an external drive, just a bad idea for many reasons, one of which you experienced.
– I’d render an image sequence rather than a movie. That way if it crashes you can resume your render where it failed.
