sorry, the subject title is totally wrong and mis-leading. it’s probably automatically entered somehow.

    Hey AJA Sales Department !
I’ve seen that Machina at InterBEE here in Tokyo. very cool ! very good job !!
can’t wait to see VTR Xchange !!

  • Thank you GlobeRider,
I didn’t think it was Aja’s driver issue, but I thought it might be rather QuickTime version or some other differences introduce the problem. but anyway, sounds reassuring the newer driver makes better results. Thank you for letting me know I’m not alone having this problem. I’ve got energy to keep testing.

    Jonathan,
yes it is quite expensive. but other stuff like extension cable introduces noise on display, sometimes such cable seems to work but maybe after half an hour of use, you’ll find some noise on display. It doesn’t matter what application you use. it’s only because of 30 inches, and noises appear and would be more visible if the background color is black. I think the extension cable works ok on displays smaller than 23 inches.

please check A/V Device setting under Audio/Video Settings. proper video and audio device should be selected and mirroring should be checked off.
Also, on ETT window, there are small icons (easy to overlook) let you select which tracks be recorded (video, audio, t/c). The video icon looks like film (with perforation) and it gets yellowish when it’s on and gray if it’s off. If the video is off (in gray) then the video won’t be recorded on tape.
I’ve never had such problem, but I’m interested. please share with me if you find remedy for your problem.

    Hi,
to use with 30 inches, you need gefen’s DVI2000HD. I’ve tested many devices and extension cables and
finally found that is the only solution usable for 30 inches(DualLinkDVI)
