    Hi John,

No, i would want a pause or stall – so that won’t help.

Is there something I’m doing wrong then – because the m2t files defiantly won’t load onto the vegas timeline – if they did that would be fantastic, and would help no end.

    Hi John,

They were HD 1920*1080 ready for creating a blu-ray. I like Steve’s idea too, its been an issue now and again – bit like when there is a small error in the middle of a film that needs correcting, and therefore a complete re render. I guess you could just re render the corrected segment – and create a playlist in DVDa.

    Hi Steve,
I read you post with interest. I have just had an error in the last 20 minutes of a 7 hour render !!!

The movie clip M2v file has been created, just missing the last few minutes of finished film. I have rendered out that missing portion, and planned to bring both files into a fresh timeline, re-renader a new file. But, vegas won’t let me place the files on the timeline (I’m using vegas 12 pro). Any suggestions?

    Thank you.

    Hi,

Thank you. It actually solved the issue just changing the de interlace method in the existing project without having to create a fresh veg project. I have always set the de interlace to ‘blend; and this has worked fine with my Sony Z5 footage, but not with the footage from the PMW 200’s, changing to the settings you recommended worked fine.

    Thanks again.
    Regards

No, no….. I had set the clip to play at 4.10 (where the issue was), and when i tested it, it started at 8.20 – i thought you were referring to that with your “so the issue is prior to that then (wink)” remark – hence my response saying “i was sure you would work it out”….. fhew, i hope I’ve cleared that up, i didn’t want to come across as rude in any way.

Right, thank you for the advice, i shall have a play and come back to you.

    Regards

    Grazie,

Yes strange that – i set it to open at 4.10, but thought you would all work it out !!!!

I set up 4 video tracks and used the ‘track motion’ effect on that video track to create the individual clip size (maintaining the aspect ratio).

    Hi John & Mark,

Thank you for responding, sorry its taken me a while to get back to you.

It appears I sent that post without reading it through properaly – so sorry – this is what it should say:

Just one last question then – when I do import the files via XD Browser for use in Vegas 12pro, is it best to import the files as ‘MXF for NLE’ files?

    Regards Martin
