Go pro footage
Hi,
I’ve just done my first edit with my new cameras (sony PMW 200) the footage was shot in 1920 x 1080 50i.
I’ve also used as a third camera GoPro, again shooting in 19 20 x 10 80 this time in progressive scan. I’ve noticed that when the project is rendering from Sony Vegas the render gets really stuck on the Camera 3 GoPro footage and seems to take forever, an example A 2 hour wedding film will currently take something like three hours to render into DVD format, haven’t tried it into Blu-ray yet. Is there anything I can be doing as far as settings go or even on the GoPro clips to make this process easier. -

Vegas doesn’t handle GoPro footage well at all. There is only one thing I know of and that is to put your gopro footage into the GoPro Studio which is a free download. From there you can select parts of the footage you want or all of it for that matter and then import and convert it out to an .avi format.
