Well, I thought of that possibility but how could you hook all 3 cameras up to one remote? That’s the problem.

I have a very fast 4tb eSATA RAID. 545mbps. I have never experienced this before in any other editing projects.

Something has changed. That’s why I went to my Pref’s. settings but I don’t see anything there.

It’s something to do with the preview mode I think.

I just went to another pretty extensive project that I did a little bit ago and it’s not doing it there. I noticed on the play back settings on that project to the left in the time line I have a lot more options.

But in the project I’m editing now very few. Don’t know how to expand my options like in the other project.

    See attached screen captures.

  • We all have a lot to learn. It never ends.

Ok…..just to verify, I shoot P2 but the LT process should be the same.

When you mount your card that you had in your camera on your desk top, create a new folder on your desk top.

Copy the files from your mounted card to your new folder.

Now your files are on your desktop.

Now go to FCP to LT. Make sure your pref’s in the top right hand corner of the LT window pane are correct.

Then go to the left side of the LT window, navigate to your folder on the desktop and import.

    That should do it.

Let me know what happens after that.

  • WOW! YEAH!

I’m not sure what happened here but I could of sworn I did this.

    FYI:
What I did was…I had my “write on” 2 layers.
Imported a .psd file and put it ABOVE those 2 layers and applied “multiply.
Then…created an adjustment layer and put it between the top .psd file and the 2 “write on layers” below and then chose, effects, hue/saturation, and now I’m able to change the type color.

    YEAH.,..YEAH.,..YEAH.,..YEAH.,..YEAH.,..YEAH.,..

You know I contribute some…when I can…on Cow but I always know I can come here and get an answer myself when I need one.

Thanks Simon for taking the time.

April 12, 2010 at 12:55 am in reply to: Basic RAID for Final Cut Mac Pro System

Well I can personally testify to the Dulce System unit for FCP setup. The reason this RAID is so good is their Transfer rate which is around 600mbps and in real time run “I think” like 14 layers (?) of video at that speed.

    Check them out.

Bill is the owner and a real nice guy.

We have one of their 4tb tower RAIDs and it has been ultra reliable for the last 2 1/2 yrs.
