For the benefit of everyone else, after seeing the source in motion, it is actually quite difficult: The skirt in the shot flaps over the tattoo erratically and the level of compression in her torso as she flounces away makes a solid texture track problematic.
Masking the skirt is fairly straightforward, but the actual replacement is harder, especially since painting out the tattoo will require a fair amount of back reconstruction.Martin Brennand | Product Manager | mocha – Imagineer Systems

This looks like it might be fairly easy to do with mocha Pro’s remove tool, which will attempt to correctly replace the lighting after the removal. You’ll still need to paint a clean plate to paint out the tattoo on at least one frame, but mocha Pro may be able to do the rest.
Can you send me a sample to test?

Hi Joe,
The Camera Solve module is available in mocha Plus and mocha Pro:
https://www.imagineersystems.com/products/compare/The mocha Plus version of the Camera Solver only exports to After Effects, so if you want to export FBX data to 3ds Max, you’ll need mocha Pro.
The bundled mocha AE CC exports 2D tracking data and shape data.
Keep in mind you can upgrade from the bundled mocha AE CC to mocha Pro if you want a discount however:
https://www.imagineersystems.com/purchase/product-upgrade-faq/If you do decide to get mocha Pro, we currently export FBX data with Y as the up axis, so you may need to rotate your data in 3ds Max.

The workaround is nice and simple at least.Martin Brennand | Product Manager | mocha – Imagineer Systems

Hey Lew, sorry we missed this question last week!
Are the dimensions of your insert the same size as the composition?

That is a really weird defect! I replied to your same post over on the Adobe forum, but it looks like you recovered.
So to be clear, the problem was you couldn’t load a simple QuickTime file on the Windows version of mocha AE, but after rebooting you were fine?
I need to document this so we can flag the problem for testing, so want to be sure that’s what happened.

Thanks for the update Glenn. I’m still curious as to what was going on there.
Mick, can you try the same as Glenn and see if that resolves your issue?
If the problem persists, please email support@imagineersystems.com and we’ll see if we can help more directly via screen shots etc.

I’m not sure about the window depth issue. We see this on our end too occasionally, which means that After Effects must be fighting for the foreground.
The clip issue however suggests something wrong with the file itself though. Was this from opening it via the desktop? Can you send us the clip in question to test with?

Okay, then something else is going on here, because all these files (excluding WMV which we definitely do not support) should open correctly.
This could be a simple parsing error. Do you have any special characters in your file path? Can you show me an example full unmodified file path?
Can you try loading a file from a simple directory, like the desktop?Martin Brennand | Product Manager | mocha – Imagineer Systems

Hi Glenn,
Sorry to hear you’re still getting issues!
Since you last spoke to us there has been an update to Adobe CC which would have fixed a number of QuickTime problems.
You say you’re getting the same issues. Can you please load mocha and tell me what version you see there? You should be able to get the version number from the “About mocha AE CC” box. Is the version 4.0.1?
Also, can you list the current codecs you’ve tried that are not working? Last time you mentioned ProRes. Is this still the case? Are you also running any Avid or BlackMagic codecs?
