    Struggle ??? why!!!???

i been using Vegas since V2

The thing i’ve noticed about Vegas users…is that they ask questions more about how to do somthing than why is my system doing this or that…

and how simple things can be done compared to many other editing software!!
    worth 3 times the price!!

i even know a few Final cut pro converts!!! who took to Vegas very easely!
once they realised what a dual wheel mouse can do!!! 🙂

i’ve worked on Premier, Flame, Avid, Media 100, they all have strong points..but none combine the strength and vercitilaty of Vegas…

Sony did a very good thing to keep this software and not trash it.
its almost becoming their flagship editing software..

When i do multi camera editing in vegas i first reduce all video tracks down ti 1/4 screen size with (Track Motion) once done i can work with up to 4 cameras on one screen.. then i align all my tracs( audio or video) to a commen event…a light fade..start of a sound etc…

then i just let it play and when i see a nassary cut i just Splice (s) i watch the whole show…without stoping…

after i start to delete all the crappy images…(getting rid of the Ugly fat)
once that is done i start to watch each camera carefully and slicing where i need to cut to a different camera…
with auto ripple turned off… i just delete the camera shots i don’t want…keeping the best stuff.

after all that is done a tsart to reduce it all by removing all the dead air..etc…

when it is to my liking i just reset all the Track motions to normal..and Tada..a multi cam edit!! all in sync…and almost all cuts are in the best place they can be.!!

just modify here and there add a few fades.. graphics..and im done.!
