yeah, I’m exporting it as PAL, I just can’t figure it out. I’ve been trying different interlacing options and some flicker remval as well but with no joy.
any other ideas?

I have used after effects for a while, and recently got into Motion. I have found the Real time function of this program a huge benifit and would love to see it incorpotated with After effects, no more waiting for the RAM preview. Adjusting keyframes during playback i also find a great help. What with Motion 2’s new addtions I think I may have to spend more time learning it, and as the upgrades continue I can only see it getting better. The new ability to use midi controllers to alter your composition in real time is something I’d love to try too. Just my thoughts on it.

I tried exporting it from AE as a lossless quicktime with Lower field first, and I’ve also tried exporting it as with field off, and I’m still getting the “cracks” in the video, and when I import it into Avid Xpress DV the colours change which is a big problem, the whites go yellow. I wish it would just work!

Thanks, I’ll give it a try. I’m also have another problem, don’t know if you can help butI thought I’d ask. I have made some clips in AE, and need to get it from a Mac into Avid PC. I put the AE clips to tape using FCP and then try to import the clips into Avid. When I do this the video again seems to have interlacing problems, except the lines are more like separated parts of the vdeo than interlacing lines. The thing is when they play back on the tape they are smooth, it’s only when it goes into avid….so maybe this a question for the avid forum. I’ve tried adding flicker romval and de0interlacing but with not results.
the shot is of a track past an object with a white background, and I’ve been told that sometimes programs have issues with pure white background….could this be my problem?
I hope someone can help.

I am using the make movie option to create a QuickTime using the DV-PAL compressor, I’m not sure about the codec, how can I tell?
