Hoping for a little help here with SoundSoap2.4 and Vegas 10d 64bit.
I’m running Windows 7.

Just installed SoundSoap2.4 and am getting a “Cannot Find Sound Device” error message when I launch the program. I assigned SoundSoap2.4 as my default “audio editor” in Vegas – and it launches when I right click on an audio track and choose “open in audio editor”. However, nothing loads in SoundSoap.

When I open an audio file directly in SoundSoap, it imports the file and allows me to play around with the adjustments, but it won’t play the file.

I also can’t seem to get Vegas to recognize SoundSoap as a “plug-in”.

Very little documentation around this from BIAS – and little luck searching the web. So I’m back here where I usually get the right answers and problems solved.

Sorry – I was referring to Bios Sound Soap2 – and whether that would run on Windows 7 64bit….

I like the fact that it is a “plug-in” for Vegas (at that price point). DO you know if it will Run on 64bit/Windows 7? I didn’t see that in any of the specs I saw online…..

I’ve used Goldwave since 2004. I Love the versatility of the program. I thought I was one of the few people who knew about it since no one ever mentioned it. I figured it was because it was more of “entry level” program, but have since come to appreciate all it’s features. Especially the noise reduction (where you can isolate noise and copy it to the clipboard and then use the clipboard print to eliminate noise throughout the entire clip. Very Nice!!

When I built my new machine and installed vegas 10 64bit, I left Goldwave behind. I’ve been getting better at the audio capabilities of vegas 10, but do miss the ease and simplicity of goldwave for noise reduction etc. I’m actually looking at Izotpe RX2 to fill that need. It’s a little pricey, but I’ve heard it a top notch program for this kind of work.

Sorry to be behind the curve on this, but where do I find the “QuickTime Photo-JPEG“? I’m using Sony Vegas Pro 10, but can’t seem to find that selection….

“Not from within Vegas. You’ll need to buy QuickTime Pro in order to make MPEG4 MOV files (Vegas doesn’t support this). That means you’ll have to render twice. Once in Vegas and then again in QuickTime Pro”

If I do have to render twice, is the MP4 render in Vegas the one to use for the original render, or should I choose another format?

Thanks John…My problem isn’t with MAC users per say – it’s seems more to be with PC users. Every so often I’m getting feedback that they only hear the “audio” and see no video. Not sure if this is a plug in issue on their end. They seem to view the .MOV file without a problem…go figure?
