Hey Jerry not sure if this helps, but I ran into a similar issues a couple of years ago. You can view the old thread that describes the issues here:

Below is what I wrote then that seemed to solve my issues:
SUCCESS!!! Perhaps this will help someone if they run into a similar problem. I went back and rendered each scene individually with the “Main Concept MPEG-2 / Template: BluRay 1920x1080i 24p/25mbps” template. All scenes rendered successfully. However, the master veg file would still not render.

I then went in and looked at each scene’s “Properties” and noted that not all scenes were consistent. Some were using the HD 1080-24p others were using a template that had 29.970 FPS. Further I had different “Pixel Formats (some at “8 bit” other scenes at “32-bit floating point full range”).

Once I made all scenes consistent (“Main Concept MPEG-2 / Template: BluRay 1920x1080i 24p/25mbps” And “32-bit floating point full range”) I was able to render with success……

Good learning experience…

Grazie – what’s weird is that I did try that before posting for help. I first “duplicated” the audio track with no success – same drop out situation. I then “inserted” an audio track and cut & pasted the audio into the new track…again no success.

This time I created a new audio track at the very top of the timeline and cut & pasted track 16 audio into this new audio track…and Success! It’s playing perfectly in this new track position in the timeline. Not quite sure why, but would be interested in hearing from anyone who has a thought on this.

As usual – thanks again for the people helping out in this forum. It’s always my “go to” place to get answers and solve problems.

Production can now continue…

Thanks for the clarification on events vs clips Steve.

I think the red bar represents the event is “clipping”. As for the other events, the volume is purposely lowered. However, other events in the track are full volume and still are not audible.

I’ll reveal the master audio bus and post the veg file without the media.

Here you go…The audio drop out occurs on track 16 at the cursor location (4:24). Thanks for the help.

I am still interested in more Boris related tutorials (especially Graffiti and also if it is related to Sony Vegas). The link you posted earlier was easy to adapt to Vegas, so I found it quite helpful.

I’ll check out Gripps2211 and continue to look for more Graffiti related content. If I find some, I’ll post here.

That did the trick Douglas! Thanks for the tip…It’s funny that you can use a program for years, and then one setting gets changed, and you feel like it’s the first time you used the program as you try and figured out what you did!
