Preview without effects
Hi,
I am wondering if it is possible to turn off the visual effects of an entire project in order to have a smooth preview. Is there a way (in Vegas 7) to disable the effects temporarily without having to click on every single file in the timeline?

Use the Split Screen view (the button is 4th from the left above the preview window) and enable FX Bypassed with the Select All option. This will allow you to quickly toggle the video FX on and off.

Click the “Bypass FX” button in the Preview Window. Looks like a half-moon. That’ll shut them all down.

Hello All –
Similar issue as the post above, but the “FX Bypassed” toggle is not working for me.
I can select “Left Half”, and “Right Half” and see the FX applied to the clip. However, when I choose “Select All” no FX are applied and it is defaulting back to “FX Bypassed”.
Any thought as to why this is happening?

That did the trick Douglas! Thanks for the tip…It’s funny that you can use a program for years, and then one setting gets changed, and you feel like it’s the first time you used the program as you try and figured out what you did!
