Thanks John. I can’t open most jpegs, tiffs or pngs in 9.0c. It comes up red on the timeline and doesn’t render. I’ve been told it doesn’t happen in 32bit, but I’m working in 64bit – and I use a lot of graphics and the like in my edits. I wrote Sony tech, but they never responded, and I can’t wait any longer for 9.0d.

I am editing in high def, but I never saw this problem until after I upgraded from 9.0 to 9.0c.

I’ve got an Intel i7 @2.8ghz with 4 gigs of ram running on Windows 7 Pro 64 bit and Vegas 9.0c 64 bit. Not sure how many cores are “allocated” to Vegas, however all cores are utilized during rendering, 8 threads in the task manager running @100%.

    Hi Ed,

I am working in high-def on vegas 8 and seem to be having a very similar problem to yours. My project is only :30 seconds, but it always freezes on render – usually at about 77%. did you ever figure any solution(s) out?
