I suspect your filters are rasterizing your text. Try removing them or place them on the group containing the text.

Yes embedding the Motion project file directly in your FCP timeline can work well, but you then need to set the FCP sequence settings (under the Sequence menu when the sequence is active) to render at best quality (Render Control tab) for your text to look good.
This article I wrote may be helpful:

Use Edge Collision, turn on the side walls, and line them up to your objects (not easy as you can’t see the walls until something is hitting them)

You probably did something to cause your group(s) to become rasterized – you can tell because the icon for the group changes from a stack of three rectangles to the same stack but with a box around it. Things that can cause rasterization (or “precomping”) including changing opacity of a group, changing the blend mode, or certain filters applied to the group. Look in the Properties Inspector with the rasterized group selected – the offending parameter will have a blue led light next to it.

Sure just create your camera animation and then add a wriggle parameter behavior to your camera’s position and adjust to taste.

If you use Motion make sure to downrez those photos first as much as possible. I would do this in FCP, or even easier, just use QuickTime 7 – it can import an image sequence and export a movie. That would be the fastest way I know of, and how I do it.
