You need to drag a folder of files to the Photos Browser. I’m no longer able to get audio files into the Music and Sound Browser, either as individual files or a folder, but I was sure I had done it before – I’ll see if I can fool around with it some more.

Put the front and back layers in a group, slightly offset in z-space, and spin the group.

It is likely that either you don’t have the font at the Computer level, just the user level, or it is corrupted. Either can be checked/fixed in FonBook.

Just tested it and it works fine for me – Motion 5 on Snow Leopard. Perhaps try trashing your prefs.

Motion 5’s content is located in the app package. But go ahead and put any content you want in the user/library/app supp path -it should show up.

Try it – but apply the stick figure positions to snapshots on a slider widget instead of checkbox widget so that Motion will interpolate between the poses, creating animation.
