Just create a new title project and drag all your layers into it.

You can’t join splines together but you should certainly be able to add more points to an existing spline by Option-clicking on it. You might want to take a look at this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FIm7qOvPlCQ

You can’t get it back but you may not need it. You only need it if you are doing something to the underlying video in FCP X, like blurring it or masking it or adding other filters to it, blend modes, etc.

October 11, 2016 at 3:42 pm in reply to: how to change the resolution of the drop zone (I don’t want it to be landscape mode / widescreen)You shouldn’t need to change the resolution or aspect ratio of a drop zone. It will accept any content you add to it in FCP X. And you can use the Pan and Scale controls to adjust the position and size of the content.

No, you can’t edit it like you are trying to do, it’s just not how generators work.

You are correct, a DZ, or any published Motion project for that matter, cannot contain sound in FCP X. You need to add it manually as a connected clip.

September 9, 2016 at 8:38 pm in reply to: Need to keyframe a rig snapshots in FCP X. Can’t figure it out. That’s a cool idea, but if it affects everything underneath (as indeed it will if you leave the title placeholder enabled), then the underlying video clip will be moved as well, which you don’t want.

For example, checked or unchecked for a checkbox, or each of the “states” that you can select from a drop-down menu. Or positions along a slider widget. You can’t keyframe those to change in FCP X.
