What’s an Edison plug? I’ve been making video since it was called radio and I don’t think I know that one.

yeah, the Conflict Checker has not turned anything up even when the card was dead. I wonder what could be disrupting the path from one app and not another. “back up vs main”
One diff is that back up is running 10.4.8 and main is running 10.4.9
Tech at Promax assures me that’s not an issue, but it’s got me wondering…is there a proccedure to follow for reinstalling FCP other than a simple overwrite?? Thanks for your time & consideration Walter

conflict–what does that mean? any suggestions on an action to take? I have a feeling that when I reinstalled FCP somthing stuck around. Maybe I should reinstall the whole studio or something. Flabergasting!

reinstalled the drivers (numerous times) just reinstalled FCP (i think, it went awfully fast) and updated to the current version used in the project 5.1.4. Is there an UNINSTALL process that I need to use? Strangely enough, when I drag the project to the “back up” system drive and open from there, I successfully scrub and play and get along well with the Kona card.???????????

Looks like the answer is in the colon. When setting the timecode offset in the Kona LHe timecode window, one MUST enter the colons between the hour/minutes/secs/frms. This thing has driven me nutz! Thanks to both the first responders who helped me feel that I was not alone out here in the middle of the Pacific. Mucho Mahalos!

control w/ 9 pin–usually have bars/tone/slate on timeline and start first frame of video at 01:00;00:00 and usually just punch and go (assemble) GET SPEED AND HIT GO ON THE TIMELINE. and hit caps lock a lot 🙂
