No everything is set to 16:9.

Thanks for the help. I will keep working on it. Just some DVD players aren’t set right.

OK, I will experiment. Also I wanted to say that I analyze large clips in the software called IStabilize without a hitch.

OK, it’s working now on a smaller area of the clip using markers.

Also I used the Analyze Motion bvehavior. How can I combine that with Stabilize so I don’t have to re-analyze?

    Thanks

I selected in Audio/Video Settings “Built-In Output” for Audio Playback and bingo it works. The playhead is accurate with the audio track.

I also did upgrade to FCHD anyway. I need the SmoothCam features in Motion and Final Cut.

I will try that next. Also I am upgrading to the latest Final Cut on Monday so maybe I will try that first.

    Thanks,

Hi and thanks for the help,

I used a Panasonic AG-DV2000p through Firewire ‘Log and Capture’ with basic tape into Final Cut 5.1. The Audio Video came in as Linked into Final Cut so I unlinked it.

Audio was out of Sync with the playhead so I started to Trim. But Trim wouldn’t help that anyway.

I am just using basic DV NTHC settings. Maybe it’s a “Capture As Is” type setting that’s doing it? Or maybe a setting on the DV machine.

I did try it before with a MiniDV without problems but having problems with the large tape.
