Analyze motion hangs
My Analyze motion hangs in Motion 4
I am analyzing a 10 minute clip. Takes an hour with no problems but then the icon changes to holding and Motion stalls and hangs. Nothing I am doing on my end except importing the file with or without sound. Maybe it’s a setting. Maybe the clip is to too jittery in some places?
Would help if it gave an error message then. -

10 minutes is way too long a clip to use optical flow on – it will create a massive cache file that can crash your system.

OK, it’s working now on a smaller area of the clip using markers.
Also I used the Analyze Motion bvehavior. How can I combine that with Stabilize so I don’t have to re-analyze?

Not sure what you are trying to accomplish. If you want to stabilize the clip, just use the Stabilize behavior, you don’t need to apply the analysis separately. Or you can use SmoothCam in FCP, it does the exact same thing.

OK, I will experiment. Also I wanted to say that I analyze large clips in the software called IStabilize without a hitch.
