I use the trimmer in SVP 11 and I don’t have a problem since I began running the NVIDIA beta drivers that were released last month.

i7 6core 64bit 12GB SVP 11 64bit build 425 NVidia GTX570 v290.36 (beta) I was having problems with the released version of the NVidia drivers.

  • Try the Text (Legacy) instead in SVP 11, it looks like how Text was in SVP 10.

I just recently installed ImgBurn based on a recommendation from John Rofrano posted in this forum. I was able to launch two instances of ImgBurn on my PC to burn two isos at the same time. I placed the two iso files on different drives just to help, but it may not have been necessary.

    Windows 7 64bit
    i7-970 w/ 12GB RAM
    DVD Burner and Bluray burner

Yes an iso will burn much faster, since it is merely just a data transfer from the data contained within the iso file to the disc you are creating. A render on the other hand has to do a lot of computation to figure out how to transform each pixel to get the requested output into a data format. The more effects you have the more computation that needs to be done. So it is common for the render to take much longer than just burning an iso image to a disc.

In the FX dialog, look for the little clock like symbol on the right. Click it to add the timeline to animate the FX.

Look for the little clock symbol to the right in the FX dialog. Click it to animate that control.

I tried a test with my i7-970 with the EVGA GTX 570HD. Nothing is overclocked and 12GB of RAM with SVC 11 64bit build 425. Nvidia driver are the latest beta 290.36 (has been more stable than the approved drivers).

I could not really tell a difference with preview 1080p 60p source from Panasonic TM900. Preview at Best/Full setting stays pegged at 60 fps except for the transitions where it drops to about 30fps.

Tried rendering as Main Concept Internet HD 1080p setting. Used the customize template to change Encoding from Automatic to CPU only.

Results for Render of 3:45 (under 4 minute clip single video and audio track with crossfades every few seconds):

GPU: 5:48 (under 6 min and CPU utilization in taskmanager showed 12 CPUs at 75%

CPU Only: 12:19 (over 12 min and CPU utilization in taskmanager showed 12 CPUs at 92%.

Try the beta drivers at https://www.nvidia.com/Download/Find.aspx?lang=en-us

I used to have really choppy previews when scaling or choosing something other than Best/Full. The system used to crash on the previews and then NVidia started fixing the drivers. Probably OpenCL related, but I cannot say for sure.

Read this post about cineform and you might appreciate the other response about the best way to address the stuttering is with a system powerful enough to handle the compression in that format.

    https://forums.creativecow.net/thread/24/938874

I was researching like you about cineform and came across this and decided that the performance from my i7 6 core system would be better than adding cineform to the workflow (at least for the time being as I get used to Vegas Pro 11.

November 15, 2011 at 5:02 pm in reply to: transfering project to another computer

In the Vegas Pro help for “Save As” it mentions a check box to copy you media assets to the same directory as the project file. This might be useful if all the media assets were scattered around and you can save them to an external drive to transfer to the other desktop.

Select the Copy media with project check box if you want to create copies of each of the project’s media files in the same location as the project file. This allows you to collect all of a project’s assets in a single location.

I have not had that problem. Sounds like either the string resources in program are corrupted or something is strange with the language/region setting you computer is reporting.

I would fully uninstall and install the new build 424 (32 bit) or 425 (64 bit). I doubt it is just the launguage setting as you only have a problem with the one dialog.
