Yes, thanks, that will work. The challenge is the surgery may have over 2 hours of video divided into 12 min. clips, that’s the way the Storz scope’s video is recorded. So I can encode the assorted clips in Streamclip, import into Avid, make a seq., maybe add Timecode FX and output the over 2 hours to tape/DVD so the surgeon can make an EDL. I found out Premiere Elements will take the 12 min. clips directly off the Storz DVD and I can create a seq and output to tape/DVD.
I was hoping Avid would allow adding the new codec for these clips and import directly into Avid, saving the Streamclip step.
I’ve sent an email to Storz asking their advice.

    Thanks to all,
Yes, I’ve raised the monitor level on the handle to max. and the level is still too low for me.
A solution for me will be to use a small belt-pack amplifier we use for IFB to boost the signal from camera to headphone.
    Thanks again.

Thanks, that would be a treat. I assume it will work with the Windows OS.

December 3, 2008 at 6:24 pm in reply to: Keep transparency from Photoshop file

The step that was missed was converting the PSD file to RGB format before import.
Our graphic artist never did this and RED rejected the file. Although it may be obvious to other users, this is a BIG creative step for me, I like having all the layers available for manipulation.
    Nothing but fun!
    Thanks so much.

The BCC Median filter did the trick.
    Thanks.

    Howdy John,
I don’t know the answer to that.
I’m like you. I re-installed the AVX1.5 – it works best for me. I also have the AVX2 installed – both showup in the Effects Palette. I’ll leave the AVX2 advanced keyframing for when I have a true need for it.

    Peter,
This old dog will have to learn some new tricks.
I’ll see if the AVX 1.5 version works for me.
    Thanks for the help.

January 25, 2008 at 9:04 pm in reply to: Advanced Keyframing in the way using BCC 5.0 !

I agree. I have issues with Advanced Keyframing and find it overly complex. I found that with the “ordinary” keyframing it was easier to get the effects I wanted. The “copy”
(Ctrl+C) and “paste” (Ctrl+V) keyframe function does not seem to work! This is a major flaw. Is there any way to reset out of Advanced Keyframing? I will also submit this on the Boris forum.
