Mark,
I got this info from Boris tech support:
“The Advanced Keyframing is actually the way that the AVX_2 plugs are set up; apply an AVX_2 plug, you automatically get all the enhancements, including Advanced Keyframing, associated with it. The installer for BCC AVX 5.0 contains an install option, three below the top install option for “BCC 5 AVX 2 MC 2.5, XPressPro 5.5 or later” (the bottom of three subsets). The option you’d want is “BCC AVX 1.5 MC 2.5, XPressPro 5.5 or later” – this will install plugs that will work faster (as they’re much simpler) and will not use Advanced Keyframing. Note that if you already have AVX_2 effects in your timeline, the corresponding AVX_1.5 effect won’t work; you’d have to re-apply it, or keep the AVX_2 plugs installed.”
I re-installed BCC 5 and had to drag the filter sets out of the second AVX Plug ins folder and put them into the first AVX Plug ins folder (the installer put a folder of Boris AVX plug ins into the AVID AVX plug ins and I just moved them) I relaunched AVID Xpress Pro and when I applied a filter to the timeline it worked–no advanced keyframing!! This whole thing happens because we (you and I) probably just installed whatever the installer listed as the most up to date set and didn’t know any better. Some of my AVX 2 filters don’t work now and I have to re-apply them but no big deal for me at this time.
Hope this helps!
