I was just on the media100 website….the info is sketchy at best…there is no listing of version number, rather they suggest you contact Borisfx…..
here is the link https://media100.com/fec.asp I would go ahead and contact Borisfx. Pixel Polly is listed in the effects gallery, but unfortunately no info on version number.

So more a particle type of thing than a trail, yes ?? This can be done by duplicating the track, applying 2d particles to the lower track. Adjust the particles to manual and make sure that they don’t animate, then add the trails to that. There are particle generators that will also do the same type of thing. I have to admit that software like particle illusion do a better job of this.

Do you have any other comps in the project window ???? How are you getting the comp over to the project window (Save comp ???)
Have you tried testing this with another project ???
You are using the standalone Render engine….you are not using the standalone rendering whilst in an NLE ?? (Some people open Red through their NLE, but render using RED….)
More details please 🙂

Thats what we are here for…
Let me know what you want to create, and I, or another user will try and help you with the steps.
Things like 3d text are so easy when you know the basics. Also the manual is a good read…..pay special attention to the rendering pipeline, once you understand the way Red works, you can do way more stuff.

So I’m guessing it worked ????
Don’t you just love the way Borisfx is integrated into media100. I am now on Liquid Blue, and unfortunately the integration is not as good as with media100, the editor I used to be on.

If you have dual video cards, depending how it is set up, it will only play video on one of the screens.

There is a setting that you can change in the preferences….that is 1:2:1 deflicker. Make sure that you turn this on for rolls. This setting is also available in the title container that you use to animate the roll…..make sure that if it is on in the preferences, that it is off in the container (should only be set in ome of the 2 places).
Also, try turning better field rendering off….I think 🙂 Truth be told, I haven’t done a credit roll in a long time……I know that 1:2:1 needs to be on, but I can’t remember over the field rendering…seems to me there was an issue when they were on together.Hope this helps

Hit CAPS lock so no refresh happens.
Duplicate the clip that you want to split, drage the out master keyframe of the top layer to the split point, drag the in master keyframe of the bottom layer.Quick and easy,
Hope this helps.
