Hi there, I’m trying to render a scene as an uncompressed AVI, but whenever I play the finished movie all I get is audio and a black screen. When I import it into Sony Vegas, it shows up perfectly in the comp window, but when rendered (from vegas), it’s still black. I can get a decent render using “Forward Uncompressed”, but I’d like it to be fully uncompressed. Any ideas on why this is happening? I’m on a 3ghz pc with 1g of RAM. (For the record, I’m trying to play the vids in windows media player 10 and wmp classic.)

Hmm. What program should I use to play them back?

If you have dual video cards, depending how it is set up, it will only play video on one of the screens.

Just for fun I rendered out a 25 sec., 760 meg uncompressed .avi and it played just fine in WMP10. Now, I’ve had larger uncompressed .avi files ( 2 gig plus ) jitter a little but, I’ve always assumed that was due to a data bottle-neck somewhere in my system.
