I would call tech support…the number is one their website.
I would love to help, but unfortunatly I am better at making effects than building systems 🙂

    Good luck,

Serge’s Zaxwerks projects are great. I reviewed them and was very impressed. I am not a big Zaxwerks users, but was able to get these working and animated very quickly.

I’m on a PC….but I usually render to the animation codec within quicktime. Nice quality (Big file size) and usually a decent render speed. Also a Codec that comes standard with quicktime, so if I need to send the file elsewhere there are no issues.

The prefs are located somewhere on your C drive, since I am not on a mac I can’t tell you where. Ask in the Mac forum, as I believe Macs store all prefs in roughly the same location.

AS for the Kona card…..I,m not familiair with their codecs. Again, check with the Mac Forum…If you can find Marco Solaro, I would ask him…he really knows codecs. I think his website is onerivermedia.com It has great info on COdecs.

Once your media is inside Boris, twirl down the track to reveal the face track and click onn it. Now you have, in the controls window, a drop down box that gives flipping options. Select the one that is right for you.

This face track is very handy for selecting alpha channels, trimming footage etc.

    Hope this helps,

That is weird, as normally Red renders out quicker when not used as a plugin(in my experience).

Are you using the same codecs for rendering ???

I have to be honest with you, compared to After Effects, the camera system in Boris Red is severely lacking. It is something that I would like to see worked on for future releases.

Try deleting the Red preferences then restarting Red.

You can flip the media by selecting the face track and choosing the flip method. I believe there is also a filter called fast flipper. If these option don’t work for you, use the rotate functions to get the video where you need it to be.

    Alex,

I wasn’t taking your last post personally, nor was I implying that you were not coming up with good ideas. I hope that you didn’t take offence to my last post, none was supposed to be directed at you. I believe you when you say you are committed to the COW, but I can’t see how an e-mail list would not take away traffic.

I like the idea, but maybe it could tie into the forum. Possibly it could be in a way that alerts people that there is a new post via e-mail. They then log into the forum and check it out.

There is definatly merit to the idea, but it MUST tie into this forum, otherwise for me, dicussion over 🙂

The Boris forums are dead, so are the WWUG forums. I think that you will find that it will be cyclic. When Red 4 releases, there will be a lot more questions and the forum will pick up.

    All the best
