So.. according to this: https://blog.videojs.com/post/35885627647/google-is-dropping-h-264-from-chrome only ogg and webm will be supported in major browsers. Ogg seems to be only audio, and I can’t find WebM format in Sony Vegas. Do you know if it can be added to Vegas?

Ooops the setting it’s actually the size 640×480. But anyways, it doesn’t want to play in the browsers.

After rendering e.g. “Main Concept AVC/ACC -> Internet 480p 4:3” without any changes (not the size I neeed but anyway) I still can’t open the video in Google Chrome or FF.

When I try to embed this video using e.g. videojs library, it plays well in IE. In Chrome it just doesn’t play. In FF it shows a message “No video with supported format and MIME type found”.

My original video format is AVI and it has 3.5 GB and it’s captured from old Samsung camera using standard Windows Vista capture program. Maybe Vegas just doesn’t like the audio. I’ll render in CineForm then 🙂
Btw, the proxy is built also when no changes are made to the project, just switching active window back to Vegas (no sooner than after 4-5 min) initiates the process .

I finally managed to achieve satisfactory results by changing the effect’s “Background” parameter from “Size to Fit” to “Transparent”.

Ah, perfect, thanks! Strange, but my Vegas installation did not have this layout when it was installed, at least I don’t remember ever changing it.

I think I know the reason, at least some. This happens because my mouse is in the left-handed mode (it’s set up in windows Control Panel, the left and right buttons are switched). When I set it back to default, then the menu doesn’t appear. Looks like ProType Titler has problems with this setting. Never had issue with it before.

Ok, thanks. Need to dock exactly over the existing docked window, then it becomes a tab.
