Camera h264 is not good for AE work imo.
DPX, tiff, uncompressed mov are better and simpler for different systems to cope with.
Some systems read only image sequences so .mov is not option there.

The idea should be the same generally.
I have no win machines at hand to test and guide you now.
If you look for the same folder structure as talked on mac you should be fine i think.

I’d say if quicktime does not see timecode this file is broken.
God knows what adobe does to files and / or will there be sdk for implementing this.
I would not say it is bug as adobe does what it pleases it seems to me?
one can not implement things that other people think is the way and the will not say what that way is.
if it is documented and accessible then there is knowledge to use this way.
if not then it is just flash in adobes head what and how it is done ?—

why not to use os raid 0 option ?
softraid is an app that also requires some attention from machine.
i would go with systems raid 0
my first question was if your drives are suspended in 2 hours maybe ?
res pinning will always make machine lag.also all not needed software would affect performance.
I would turn off power option what suspends drives.
also try os version of raid 0 (backup first)—
