AE xml should be something different from FCP XML exported from Premire.
There is a catch. I think if you import your AE project in Premiere it sees it as AE still.
You have to test it but for now it seems to me the workflow may not work out like that.
You need to play with that a bit and see.—

I have talked about it to Peter some time ago and i think so have others.
I see no reason why Resolve could not have “metadata” subtitles option.
Making subs in other package and importing as “video” works but is so limiting.
Specially killing this Resolve’s multi resolution workflow idea when you have
to have many video files for different resolutions.Seems time consuming and cumbersome.
In feature work i have seen this many many many times and it just takes Resolve out of the
final mastering workflow instantly. Maybe better integration with Fusion in the future would help it.—

Nice concentrated ideas.
I agree with them and the things that need to change or evolve.
Also seems to be the time of the year when such ideas come to life.

Change in file format did not help.

Why not get Eizo CG series 24″ and rent LigthSpace for calibration?
Would get you further in precision with lot less effort.

If you have same names and tc in consolidated files then trimmed files should connect correctly without colortrace.

Love the idea that ball is more in to the ring compared to the elements.

If possible always test the workflow before executing when in new territory.
It will help to avoid many future problems.
