Than may be the case as my first numbers seem sort of okay.
BM probably could chime in on that.

your usb controller may have gone bad.
most of the dongle problems are usb related and not the dongle.
some machined will even burn their usb ports down if power draw exceeds manufacturers specs
on pc machines i have seen.—

In theory it should be doable in tech sense ?
I mean in the same way like the compositing apps do it or they used to do it.
In combustion it was called similar like disk cache. And it had the option to
be rendered and played back from there or reverted to original i.e. like final render
in our case.On paper seems simple to do.

January 19, 2014 at 9:00 am in reply to: Color inconsistencies Resolve vs Quicktime playerYou still will be having 1/3 problem left this way i’d say.
Not directly your monitoring issue but i think you have to consider it as well before going nuts.
With web projects you probably will have clients that look at your work god knows
how and give you feedback that is based on variable displays. So until you are 100% sure of your display and its accuracy no matter what you use
there is some dispute moment possible.I see this with music videos a lot when clients are “somewhere” and do not visit your suite.
Maybe a bit off topic but this is what i have experienced over some years.

Expansion question is interesting but we have lost it somewhat in the thread now ? 😉
I’d say depends on a business model it should be reasonable to write off all your tech in year or two so
upgrading after that seems reasonable. (i do not mean full Linux resolve here but mac based Resolve)Computer gear gets old in 2 years anyway and if you are lucky you can expand your cycle to 4 years or so ?
Ok maybe you could expand it to 6 years but then you definitely will suffer from productivity loss.
Mostly people here talk about MacCan if they can get one for testing or have actual need.
I do not see it as a hobby.Somewhat this trend will separate movies in the future maybe if tree will not be good expansion solutions for TB.
What i mean is the Can would be sufficient for jobs like current Pro model but for really heavy
use one would like to go to Linux route anyway.—

I agree that the difficult part is on the set.
In grading you just would make lets say parallel node one with one node for the bw
and other with key to red only and there you go.Should be relatively simple if the on set material is good.
