So there you see if you have 10 bit hd then it is not really likely to work 🙂

If gpu makes it bad then gpu, driver or capture card direct show etc is bad or combination of those things.

Lets see if someone has same results. I use mac and i’m really happy with it.

If gpu off gives you better results then yes probably it is not the drive.

Mostly people get drop on drive issue. You could run some drive tests.
You will never know maybe one of the drives is bad or is going to be bad etc.
Just run BM drive test and you will see what it sees.

Id take all possible cases and eliminate them one by one.
Just be creative and methodical. Always consider problems in co operation.

I had to turn off gpu support in motion for instance. Now all is smooth as silk.

    Hi.

You are trying to play 2 streams of video which means 2 times the data.

How much data is needed for your media format ?

I would have 50% free n array if possible when array is small and there are not so meny drives.

Also if you have hard compressed format then some machines will drop as cpu can not play etc.

    Hi.

Seems that i have misread this in office hours. Wishful thinking i’d say.

Hope there will be one or we would get more detailed information on the linux platform
for the entry pricing we see on BM site. I talk about Revival here.

I ask this as we possibly will buy one on mac version and revival + linux full version
if more information will be available.

    Hi.

    >I still like the idea, though; its a wonderful toolset, but it isn’t going to keep me from building the house >with what I have– and re-inventing the wheel is simply not on my to-do list.

I really agree with you on that. One got to chose system that is optimal for his business.

I’m just glad that we have the possibility to build our systems around really nice platform.

    HI.

I looked up Grants original email and there you see:

    >DaVinci Resolve v7.0 will be available from June for the Linux version from DaVinci Specialist Resellers, >while the Mac version will ship soon after from Blackmagic Design Authorized Resellers.

So there will be mac version.
