I had in mind only hypothetical option running linux on mac.

Probably one could run linux also on mac but if it makes any good with drivers etc is another thing.

Linux version is expandable with infiniband. Just set up more machines with gpu’s and het more realtime power. No prorez support under linux.

It also may be that your gpu and win 7 does not play well.
Mostly it is gpu problem.

Monitor out of BM card. The whole idea is to monitor from capture card.
It is not likely that you get FW port audio and BM card audio in sync ever.This is really old problem from the beginning of times as computers were slow etc.
Audio and video good sync is made in capture card.—
