Wow, that was a fast response Dave!
Here’s the thing, I made a few 3D layers over video so that a title comes down from above and sits on a table (3D layer over the table so the title’s shadow is cast on the top of the table).
If I precompose the title without the layers, then there’s no shadows on the furniture. And if I precompose with the layers… then the layers show up in the main comp (filled in with white). Then if I change the value of the precomp to “multiply”, I can’t see the titles anymore.
It seems that whatever I try, there’s a new problem.
I hope you can help me solve this.
Thanks again,
Marc

Yes that’s exactly right Ted.
I used masks to try and solve the problem… it’s acceptable, but I’m still wondering if there’s an easier way?
Thanks,

I haven’t been able to import it into cs3.
I too cannot see where the version number is?
• At the very bottom of the cs3 project it says:
“LIST DPTREftwd 8 ”
• And at the end of the cs4 project it says:
“?xpacket end=”w”?”
I have no idea where to look. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Marc

Out of curiousity, I was reading another thread that mentioned:
1) Videoredo.com
2) Edius ProcoderAs software that could export without recompression… assuming they work… I guess they wouldn’t help me since I need a smaller file than the original video?
Just thinking out loud, but if anyone knows anything about these please let me know.
Thanks again!

Thank you Mike for that info. Makes sense.
I was given some info that it wouldn’t recompress because it was being exported as the same format… but I guess that doesn’t really make sense after all.
It’s just a shame that I lost so much data with my hard drive that got fried… and I don’t have the money for data-recovery.
I wish there was another solution, but I guess there’s not… especially since I’m also restricted by file size.
Thanks again for the reply everyone.

Hi Eric, thanks for the reply.
The quality looks fine in daytime parts of the movie, but some nighttime stuff, and some moving titles at the beginning look terrible. The titles look very jittery and some night shots of tree tops look really blurry.
I’m assuming it has something to do with the bitrates?
**So I’m trying to find the best quality settings for making the 4 GB m2v into a 3 GB m2v (approx.).
As for importing the audio and video into ENCORE… worked like a charm! Thank you for that tip!! 🙂

Yes… invisible button is the way I need to go.
I just couldn’t put 2 & 2 together.
Brilliant!
Thanks George!

Thanks for the effort Erik 😉
But as I said in my post… I’m able to move around each individual menu with no problem (I’ve already taken care of the button routing).
I just want to know how to link the 2 menus so when I (for example) click “right” on scene 3, it will go to scene 7 on the next menu over (so you can access all the scenes over continuous menus by continuing to click “right”).
I’m wondering if maybe this is not possible with 1.5 and is a feature that was introduced in 2.0 or higher?
Anyone know, as I can’t find anything on this anywhere?
Thanks again,
Marc
