It’s obvious for several reasons that this comes out of the can and I bet all that was done is to specify the in and out image and transition time.

January 17, 2011 at 11:14 pm in reply to: Which Effect / Preset / Template is used in this example ?thanks for your answer… but like i said, I am mainly looking for the particular package or template which was used.
i need it for a very quick project and it’s way too much effort to do this by hand.
i am sure it’s a template or a preset effect of some slideshow software.
… so if anyone recognizes it, please tell me

sorry, one setting was wrong – it was DVCPRO HD (1.5) instead of HD Anamorphic

since none of the experts could come up with a solution i had to find it myself ; )
for anyone who stumbles into the same problem:
just import as usual>rightclick the clip in the project window (not in the timeline)>interpret footage>pixel aspect ratio – conform to: HD Anamorphic 1080 (1.333)>click ok
if needed adjust the scale of the clip once it’s in the timeline.btw: i guess this is probably not the 100% proper way to do this and that it’s a bit dirty… but since in my particular case right now quality is not 1st priority it’s ok for now.
if someone knows a better solution please let me know : )

Great…. got it!
Track Matte was the hint that I needed ; )
Thanks alot.

I guess I’ll take the uncompressed road then.
The clips are not too long. only about 15 secons eachthanks for your help guys : )

Thanks a lot for all the suggestions.
I guess I’ll go for the reencoding… Dave’s in depth explanation made a lot of sense to me.My source material is 1920 AVCHD PAL
I edited it in Premiere to suit my needs and then encoded it to mp4 which i used later in After Effects which turned out to be a bad idea. Can anyone make a recommendation what coded and numbers most likely should work?

Thanks Jeff, your suggestion was actually my workaround in the past… but I was hoping there would be a better solution and that I just miss something obvious.
But what about the clip being on it’s own track like you mentioned? What would be the difference?
-
hahaha… dripping with cheese : ) that’s exactly what i’m trying to avoid : ) it’s funny, but ALL products that offer transitions feature these horrible styles that not even my grandma would use.
anyhow…. thanks a lot for the answer

ok, i’ll check in later….
anyhow i think this way it’s not posible to do the kind of transitions i am looking for….
i’ll describe it again. (a somehow close example is in the presets of AFX cs4 as mentioned in the previous post)
example: clip b blends in with 5 to 7 blocks over time ( each covering about 15% of the screen) these blocks are moving vertically and horizontally… and overlapping over time.
thats just a rough description… doesnt have to be exactly this way.i was sure there would be some user created transitions to download somewhere… but maybe this is only the case for after effects.
