Thanx a lot to both of you. Funny to see how people use so many different techniques. I live in Belgium, I didn’t want to wait for you to wake up (not that I mean you’re lazy guys, I’m talking about the time zone!) so I tried something by my side and I made a quite good test using other parameters. I made a comp with the seed rotating 360 degrees. Then I used it as a source in particular with a random still frame in the time sampling.
I put the particles velocity to zero and I animated them with some wind and a big position change of the spherical turbulence field:

Anyway, I’ve just tried the walter solution and I think that it’s the one I’m gonna use. The way the seeds are divided is really nice.

    Thank U very much

Cool.Thank U for having spent some time on this! It looks ok. But I had to deal with the basics because I didn’t have the plugin. So I used the emboss for the inside and I used bevel alpha for the borders. It looks like this:

I think it works quite well. Thank U anyway!

yep again! An emboss with an overlay mode will make it! In french we say “it’s in the old pans that you prepare the best meals”. Well, it seems like it’s right! I thought I’d never use that filter again! Today is the day I change my mind! Thank U

Thank U Adriano. It’s indeed the kind of effect I was looking for. If I copy my layer, desaturate and contrast it, blur it a little bit, and then use it as a reference for the texture effect it’s looks almost like what I had in mind! Well, it’s not perfect but I’ll deal with it!

    Thank U all guys

Hi guys, thank U for the answers but it doesn’t help! I had a look to the digieffect plugin.

I didn’t use the basic displacement map because I don’t need a distortion. I have a velvet texture (full screen) and I want to have an effect that looks like I pushed a little bit an object from behind the velvet, so I could see, thanks to the shadows, “the Cardinal Richelieu” profile! What I have now, is the outline of the profile, thanks to a bevel alpha. It lokks ok but what I need now is the inside of it …

The digiEffect Free Form would make it but I don’t have it. Several years ago, I used to work with Combustion and there was an effect called “Bump map” and it was exactly what I need! Sounds familiar to you?

Thank U Darby. There was the solution! I brought my camera really closer to the layer, changed the focus distance. And my aperture went from 300 to 20 and it really made the difference. There are still some bad results in dark areas but I’ll deal with it!

    Thank U

Yes, I noticed that when I used an adjustment layer above all. But here, even if I remove everything in the timelin but the layer, the light and the camera, I still have the problem. I also turned off my Open GL but no result. I work on the 9.0.0 so I’ll try what you propose, I’ll upgrade to the 9.0.2
Meanwhile, I realized that the problem desappear when I reset the X orientation of my layer to zero. The angle between the camera and the layer is then different and it solves the problem. But of course, the perspective of my image is not the same anymore! Compromize …..

    Thank U

Thank u but I know the problem you’re talking about but it’s not corresponding to mine. In this case, I have a single layer so it can’t be the stuff you”re talking about …

You’re right, collect files is a great tool. Shame on me, I don’t use it as much as I should. May be the problem I have right now will help me to remember that tool for the future.

Thank u anyway for the help
