When using this filter the text box will not go away? Anyone else see this in VP11? For a 5 sec clip I now have the text box in my preview window for the entire program.

I have a 7D and canon lenses; if I was specking out a rig for primarily video shooting I would lean heavily to the GH2 rather than a Canon/Nikon. The GH2 has an EVF built in, no need for the external magnifer, keeps the size of the rig smaller.
M4/3 mount, can take ANY lens, from SLR to Leica M, to PL mount, this is an amazing feature and this is the only camera of it’s quality to do so, so far.
I saw a hack that used Super 16 lenses by sampling the center of the chip, though still 1080P, this looks very cool if it’s a practical thing to do. There are a lot of great zooms available used for the S16 format. None of them will ever work with a DSLR as the sensors are too large.
This is a great “B” camera to the AF-100, all your glass will work just as well with the AF-100, except perhaps S16 lenses.
If you are looking to upgrade later from the DSLR format, the AF-100 is a great step up for $5k, the C-300 with the EOS mount is $17~20k so a much farther move up financially. Panasonic has a better (affordable) next step for someone using a DSLR than any other manufacturer to date.
I think for an Indie filmmaker the GH2/AF-100 is a great combination. If Berger ever gets their mount adapter done it will be a good choice for canon lens owners as well.

Use a camera with a 1/3″ sensor for “deep depth of field” for Shallow depth of field the APS-C/H; full frame or M4/3 are a better choice. If you only have a DSLR, use a super wide angle lens for “deep depth of field &/or stop down your lens as far as you dare.
Get a set of Expoaperture2 depth of field calculators to plan in advance what stop/lens/format combination works for you. I have not found a manual chart for 1/3” sensors, there must be an on-line version.

Remove and reload vegas, this helped me when my system was “hanging” a lot. Check in the preferences that your have “checked” the box for vegas to load clips to the trimmer rather than the timeline.

I “once” shot a lecture with my 7D, will never do it again. I told the “client” about the limitations of the camera, blah, blah, blah, they listen like a dog… Naturally they did not like the fact that I had to break every 10~12 minutes, and that I did not have a 20x zoom. Even though they approved it before the shoot.
When making television, use a television camera. When making movies, use a movie camera. Just because they are now both “electronic” and display on the same device, they are totally different ways of working.
Go figure.

If you know, or have ever used an attorney, this would be a good time to “consult” not necessarily hire one. A 30~60 minute evaluation of your case would be worth $100, cash, Get your legal options and go from there. Many business cases are dropped because they are too expensive to litigate and are written off.

Interesting article on 30 bit cards, I am running a 24 bit card now, I would have to upgrade my monitor and card to run the Asus monitor.
