    Thanks for the form link.

I have looked into track mattes. I am using track mattes.

    YES YES YES YES!

okay! got it tracking perfectly and lined up in AE. I had my axises mixed up a bit.

Before, I hadn’t established a Z axis or an Origin. so, this time, I selected both x,y,z axises along with an origin point.

I also made the mistake of having different frame rates in AE than in Boujou. Doh!!!!

All is well now. Thank you all for you help.

mkay. Just watched a few Andrew Kramer tutorials. I think I might have chosen the axises wrong.

    Let’s see if I can fix this…

okay, I tried following his steps this morning but they were a little vague and confusing (maybe I’m just too new to this). Still couldn’t get the nulls to line up right.

I recorded a short screen capture that illustrates my problem. Hopefully someone has a few more suggestions.

In reading up on some different forums, it seems like PFT is also a pretty popular 3D motion tracker. I may try that soon if it interacts with AE any better.

There are no cameras in the precomps.

I ended up precomping the whole thing and importing it into a brand new project.

It’s working, but it’s a huge pain to have to dig into comp after comp just to change something.

I’m not sure what happened with the original comp.

    Anyone?!?!?!?!

I’m really stuck. I can’t finish this project without being able to animate this project. I have no idea what’s wrong.

I have four 3D comps in the time line with the continually rasterize switch on.

If I open a brand new project, the camera seems to be working fine.

Also, AE isn’t creating previews. I don’t think it’s running out of RAM. Usually, when you advance in the time line, you’ll see the blue bar at the bottom buffering as it generates a preview for that frame.

It’s not even doing that. I have to toggle in between resolutions to even get it to preview.

    Anyone know what’s going on?!

okay, that’s what I figured. I just wanted to check if anyone had any special way of dealing with this kind of situation.

They asked for a print ad after we had filmed the spot. It’s just not going to work out.
